About the Syrian Exhibitions & International Markets Foundation
The Syrian Exhibitions and International Markets Foundation – SEIFE was founded on September 13, 1953, with its headquarters in Damascus. It is a founding member of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the Arab Union for International Exhibitions and Conferences. The Foundation oversees the organization of international exhibitions and markets, organizes a group of exhibitions inside Syria, and manages national participation in major exhibitions and international markets outside Syria. It also follows up on the participation of the Syrian public sector and forms delegations to develop Syrian exports. The Foundation specializes in organizing the Damascus International Fair, which was first held in downtown Damascus in 1953. In 2003, the fair moved to the new exhibition grounds owned by the Foundation on the Damascus International Airport Road, with a total area of 1.2 million square meters.

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Ladies and gentlemen, friends from inside and outside the country, At this historic moment, I am honored to present to you the features of a new and exceptional edition of the Damascus International Fair – the sixty-second session – which is not merely an economic or cultural event, but represents a true announcement of the launch toward the new Syria. It is the first session of this size and historical depth since 1970, held under the gracious patronage of President Ahmad Al-Shara', expressing clear official interest at the highest levels and the state’s conviction that this fair is not only a gateway to investment but also a gateway to dialogue, the future, and reshaping Syria’s image before the world as it truly is: proud, vibrant, seeking peace, security, construction, and openness. The Syrian government, with all its ministries and institutions, under the guidance of the highest leadership, strongly supports the revival of economic life and spares no effort in rebuilding Syria on modern and open foundations. The Damascus International Fair is not a passing event but part of a comprehensive strategic project to reposition Syria in the global economic and cultural map. To all our participating fellow Syrians at home and abroad, countries, companies, investors, media and artistic entities, I say: you are not merely attending a fair but writing with us a new chapter in Syria's story and will be genuine partners in rebuilding a homeland that deserves life. We, at the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Syrian Exhibitions & International Markets Foundation, are working with all the energy and dedication we possess and pledge to make this session a unique experience at all levels—organization, hospitality, and support—so that Damascus remains, as always, a capital of gatherings, a platform for creativity, and a beacon of peace.
